What are the benefits of being more mobile

Why would you want to have better mobilisation

As we train harder, grow older, many of you will find that you wake up feeling stiff, creaky and aching. Dynamic mobility stretching can really help you with you feeling better.  Alongside normal static stretching adding mobility exercises has many benefits.

Here a few key benefits to why:

  • Improved joint range of motion: Mobilisation techniques can help increase the range of motion of a joint, making it more flexible and reducing pain.

  • Reduced muscle tension: Mobilisation can help to reduce muscle tension and soreness, making it easier to move and perform activities.

  • Increased blood flow: Mobilisation can increase blood flow to the area being treated, which can help to reduce inflammation and promote healing.

  • Improved posture: Mobilisation techniques can help to correct poor posture and improve alignment, reducing the risk of injury and pain.

  • Improved function: Mobilisation can help to improve overall function and performance, allowing individuals to return to their daily activities and hobbies more quickly.

  • Reduced pain: Mobilisation can help to reduce pain and discomfort, making it easier to move and perform activities.

  • Increased awareness of movement: Mobilisation can help individuals become more aware of their body and how it moves, which can help to prevent injury and improve performance.

I have been taking part in UK Outdoor Fitness bootcamps for almost 10 years now.
What has kept me going back all this time is the enthusiasm of the instructors, the banter with other members and the flexibility within the sessions to push myself as hard as I want to or be a little less energetic depending on what sort of mood I’m in.

They are definitely not military style bootcamps and offer something for people of all abilities. I also find that doing exercise outdoors in the fresh air in local parks is much more fun that sweating away in a gym.

I would certainly recommend UK Outdoor Fitness to anyone looking to get fit and
have fun at the same time!

Thank you for the past 10 years, and I’m looking forward to the next 10!

I can’t recommend UK Outdoor Fitness enough! It’s been a big part of my life over the past few years, both for fitness (…. you should see my glutes now) and the social side. For me, being outside is really important and it’s been a great opportunity to break up the monotony of the gym! I’ve also met some lovely folk with Paul and the team providing a supportive and social environment that allows you to push yourself and get the best out of your time and training. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending joining! Enjoy!!
